School is just about ready to start and the kids were anxious for some last minute fun. Pete drove me and the kids to Calf Creek to meet some friends. (Pete is our chauffer to fun when I have worked a graveyard shift and shouldn't be behind the wheel.) Alex and Chris both had to work and couldn't join us. The kids had fun playing in the water, catching a snake and having a picnic. Pete, Kayce and I put our chairs in the middle of the creek and read books and visited. It was a perfect afternoon. The kids had a paint ball fight later that night but the pictures turned out really blurry. Peter had blue hair, Alex a green leg, Jake,Caleb and Adam had a rainbow of colors on their t-shirts and Caiti stayed clean since no one dares shoot the princess.
